The other day I was going through some old sketchbooks and I came across this drawing of an African Violet. In this drawing I combined graphite with colored pencil. I really like the contrast between the two and also how the graphite brings out the color more. I desperately needed a break from painting so I decided to try it with a bowl of cherries I had been planning on painting. Drawing for me is very relaxing so I thought I would unwind from the stresses of painting with some drawing.
