Acrylic On Canvas Board

Over the years fertility and the creation of life has been a continuing theme within my work. Today's painting is what it is. A tribute to women and how they provide food and nourishment to their young.

Happy New Year!

For my first piece, of the new year,I wanted to do something that was free flowing and gestural. I wanted to keep it loose and not get caught up in the details. Gestural painting per say. This shape is one that can be found in most of my abstract pieces. For those who haven't had a conversation with me about, would not know that this shape represents sperm. For me it is the ultimate symbol of life and creation.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy new year. I want to thank everyone who have visited my blog over the past year. Thank you for all the kind comments. My New Years resolution it to get back to painting and hang up my pencil. I hope to move into oils, a medium I haven't touched in years. I hope everyone keeps checking back on a regular basis. Please post comments. I love to hear from everyone.

"Ginger"

Not For Sale

Graphite on Paper

8 x 10

This is a portrait of my brother's dog, Ginger. This was my first attempt at doing an animal and much harder to do then one would expect. I tried not to overdue it and get caught up in doing every strand of hair. This will be framed and become a Christmas present for my brother. Merry Christmas!!!!
